Is it justified?

Hi,
I have always liked polish chickens. I'm actually going to be picking up a buff-laced polish roo hopefully soon, but it would also be nice to have a polish hen. In my brooder right now I have 2 Black Australorps, 2 Easter Eggers, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte, and 1 Plymouth Rock along with 2 two day old chicks and am going to pick up a Sebright chick today! Is it kind of justified to get a Polish hen (baby) today while I get my Sebright. Baby chicks need warmth right? So why not? And my other chicks that are in the brooder are a couple of weeks old (the Australorps,Wyandotte,Easter Eggers, Plymouth Rock) so they will soon be indroduced to the rest of my flock. I am just worried that only 3 chicks in in there might not be enough warmth (my current two day old chicks and the sebright) and I really want a Polish hen. I know I'm probably going to end up getting one but I just want opinions. Thanks! Oh and sorry if how I wrote this is confusing!!

You'll have to brood the chick anyway, so you might as well go ahead and get it. I have one (an EE) that is inside now because she was bullied by the flock after I introduced her and her two flock mates to slightly older chicks. The two flock mates are successfully integrated, but she is not. She has a younger companion (BSL) that I bought specifically for that purpose. Younger chicks don't pick on bigger chicks and she seems very happy to have the company.

Thanks! Well I ended up getting 4 sebrights (3 silver and 1 gold) and a Turken. Can't ever just come back with 1 can we?

Chicken math at it's best! I was only going to get 3 more EE this spring and I have two new EE and 6 other breeds of chicks. some how 3 became 8! I already have 9 hens, so that's 17 chickens!
