mixed chicken breed threed!!! picks and discussions!

Here are some of my mix-breeds. They all live together on a 10 acre farm. The way I sort of control who the parents are is by how I raise the roosters. The second in command rooster tends to breed with the most hens, so I raise a teenage roo under my top boy and then when I'm done with him I can get rid of him and keep my top rooster, who is my favorite.

This is Dastan, a silkie x OEGB mix

A silkie x OEGB x sebright mix rooster when he was young

Doddie, one of my "Dalmatian" mixes

OEGB x Sebright mixes

I'm not sure what kind of crosses these are, but Ginger, the silkie, raised them

Santos, a silkie and silver-winged OEGB mix

A leghorn and Barred rock mix (I think)

A Red Star mixed with either a New Hampshire or Buff Orpington, this is Eowyn

An EE x Buff Orpington pullet, named Baby Cakes

An EE x Barred Rock rooster

I have some chicks that just hatched (my first!!!) and I am so excited to see what they become! I will post more pictures later, but here are two chicks with their momma hen
