Hi everybody!
My name is Maria, and I moved onto my great grandparent's old farm about a year ago. GG raised fighting cocks, and I'm an animal rescuer, so I decided to get some chickens back onto the property and show them the good life. I've got a motley crew, and my amazing new talent at chicken math has forced me to get the old greenhouse set up as a chick nursery, and buy 3 incubators. I haven't been on a forum for anything since facebook got started but I see that there are pros to posting here.
I'm looking for some large fowl White Crested Blue Polish to add to my crew - hatching eggs or chicks near New Orleans. I did drive 3 hours to get my Jersey Giant pullet, so I am crazy enough for a bit of driving. I've got goats, chickens, dogs, cats, horses, ducklings and a guinea. I'd also love to know if there are any other folks in the New Orleans area who are chicken people. I've found some in Covington and near Baton Rouge and Lafayette, but I can't be the only one here!
