Orpington or Ostridge!

She's not laying yet (so I can't be 100% it's not a roo I guess!). I just took this photo of her out in the yard. I have 11 chickens and she's at the bottom of the pecking order with her best friends, my BBS Orpington and white Cochin.

Keep us updated! I have 6 week old Orpington chicks and I thought I was confident about sexing them but I also would have called yours a cockerel. Maybe I'm wrong about mine!

Finally getting around to updating this thread....she is laying now, so definitely a she, although she rarely uses the nesting box and prefers just to drop them in the shavings. I do have to say that she has definitely taken on the rooster role of the flock, keeping an eye on everyone and alerting when there is danger. I think she's not even sure what she is!

Thanks for the update! :)
