Friends of mine gave us their flock of 6 chickens. I kept them separate from mine for about 5 days to make sure they were okay. Last Sunday one died (after putting them with mine). As of today I have lost 2 and 2 more are sick and have been removed from the rest of th flock. I have a call I to my vet who is calling their lab to see what we can test for. So far the symptoms are coughing, raspy open mouth breathing, and they are dead within a couple days. I can't lose my whole flock!! I am freaking out doing research online. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am in Kentucky where the bird flu isn't yet, but I am starting to think that's what this is. I am at a loss, we love our chickens.
