I have always started every chick, duck, pheasant etc on peepads with a rubber liner without a problem...til now. I got 6 new little goslings about a week ago and they try to eat the pee pad, the rubber liner, fingers, dishes! Worried about them ingesting rubber from the liner or plastic from the pee pad, I put shavings in today. They're trying to eat those too!! I raised a couple goslings last year in with ducklings and don't remember this being a problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

My goslings quite often chew on the shavings but never swallow them. If it does concern you place a towel over the shavings so they cannot get to them. As for the dishes, maybe change to metal so they can't pull bits off.
