We just got our babies this weekend! I love them already! 20 Comet pullets and 24 straight run Buff Orpingtons. (Yes, this is my new vocabulary, lol.) My first time with this as my sweetheart and I start our farm; not his 1st rodeo.

Hello @Tyler Acres , and welcome to BYC!

Your chicks are super cute! I'm also new to chickens - we don't have a farm, but we have been having a great time so far with 17 easter-eggers and 10 Isa Brown/Rhode Island Reds!
I'm sure your husbands prior experience will be invaluable, and you'll be able to find tons of support and insight here at BYC as well!

Again, Welcome!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Aww cute chicks! Wow you got a lot to start out with. Enjoy them! Buff orpingtons are my favorite breed. I love their fluffy appearance, friendly personalties and big, brown eggs. I'm sure you'll be getting tons of eggs once they all reach the appropriate ages. In the meantime, feel free to ask any questions as they grow. Good luck!

Yes. We are going to have other animals eventually. Renovating the house right now, so starting with just these babies. We did start with quite a few, but he has experience and knows what's up. I'm just glad to be a part of it. They are precious! Thanks to everyone for the welcome!
