I am looking into getting some turkey eggs to hatch. I was skimming the internet and amazon. I am just blown away at all the choices. Can someone advise a good incubator that I can use for chicks as well has turkey eggs. I was also wondering if anyone has experience with the incubator tractor supply carries as well. I am on a budget so I cant spend alot Gotta keep it 250 and below.

I saw a hova bator on amazon with fan kit and turner. Anyone know if it can work for turkey eggs.

Thank you.

I have a Hovabator 1588 and Ive hatched turkeys in it with no problems at all. For a foam bator, Hovabator will be your best bet.

With the auto turner its fits up to 41 eggs. Its supposed to set 42 but the turner motor takes up one egg slot.

The 1588 model is their set it and forget it model for $135, it has a preset temperature. The older styles that use a metal gas filled wafer for thermostat are very dependable too but you set the temperature. The model with fan is 2365.

Are turkey eggs very large? If they are then you'd need goose rails. The egg rails are detachable so can be replaced with quail egg racks or goose egg racks. The three rails for goose eggs only hold 9 eggs total. Keep in mind that the auto turners for styro incubators fit all other table top styro incubators so you can use a Little Giant turner in a Hovabator incubator and they are less expensive and usually available locally like at TSC.

I bought an auto turner from TSC and I had to return it twice and finally ended up getting a refund They work for about 2 days and then quit. I went to Cackle Hatchery (I live in the same town as them) and actually bought the one that goes with the Hovas. Ive not had any issues since.

Depending on what capacity you want, for under $250 I would have to consider the Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco. It only holds 24 chicken eggs, and you have to turn the incubator yourself, but you turn the entire incubator, not individual eggs. It doesn't hold as much as the Hovabator, but it's an extremely reliable machine
