Let me get this stuff out of the way first:
This is not an RP.
RWTP is over.
There are no plans for RWTP to return.
So...what is this? I guess I should first explain what Run With the Pack is/was.
RWTP was a roleplay game started on November 28, 2012. I, iluvorpingtons, created it and ran the game. It started out small but soon grew. Whenever one RWTP thread got too big, we would start a new one. Players came and went, some leaving bigger marks on the story than others.
The first few months of RPing are what I personally consider to be the "Classic" period of RWTP's history. The characters created here and basic storylines would remain part of "canon RWTP" up until the game's death.
Unfortunately, I had a lot of concerns in my real, outside-the-computer life, so I had to leave the RP in the hands of my friend OwlLover. OwlLover ran all of the threads after RWTP IV.
In the period of right before I left and the following few months under OwlLover's control, RWTP entered one of its larger renaissances. Lots of new players joined, bringing new characters and new storylines. For a while, it flourished, but this was just another peak in the rising-falling pattern of RWTP.
For several long periods after this time, RWTP was declared "dead". Still, its legacy continued in many similar and spin-off games.
During this time, when I was not in control of the game, I stopped visiting BYC. I don't know what happened to RWTP or how it finally "died"; I just know that it's over now and doesn't seem to be making a comeback. It lived shortly on a second website called The Northern Howl, but that ended quickly.
I have started this thread to try and rekindle some of the old friendships we formed over RWTP. Maybe the game is gone now, but we can still try and keep its spirit alive. Let's all get together again and celebrate the fun we had! Basically, this is just a fun get together for everyone who misses their old friends.
If you were part of RWTP or know some of the players, please spread the word about this! I'm confident that we can make this a real reunion if we all work together.
