Moving Chicks Outside?

Mine moved out last night! I'm so happy!! I have my laundry room and my back porch back. They love their coop! I had to put them up in the actual pen last night they huddled in a corner and when I went to let them out this morning they were all happily perched on their roost. Still have a LOT left to do in there but it's live able for them!

I moved my chicks to the big coop with the Cochins and could see that this was not going to work out the rooster was fine with it but his hen was not. I put them in a dog kennel in side the coop and left them for a hour or so then turned them loose and for a while she was fine with it till the rooster started checking them out then she decided to start flogging on the so the Cochins got moves to the smaller coop and run

When can I mix new 2015 chicks with my adult girls? The new babies are just 2 days old and the girls are 2 years old. Thinking ahead

It really depends on the approach you take. You can brood the babies in the coop/run (if covered) right alongside the big girls and this can ease integration when you remove the "look but don't touch" barrier between the two groups (see the Mama Heat Pad thread by @Blooie for some great pictures and explanations) and this can start from day 1. Others will start using a "play pen" approach when the chicks are a couple of weeks old and integrate fairly early (see threads by @azygous ). Still others prefer to wait until the new chicks are 12+ weeks of age and integrate at that point. It really is going to depend on the setup you have for your birds as far as which approach will work with your existing structures and what you are comfortable doing.

I have 3 bantams that I hatched 8 weeks ago . They are fully feathered and I have it set up to incorporate them into the coop still separated . However , it’s in the 40s here in the daytime and I’m terrified they will not adjust to the temps . I Have heat lamps but am not sure if it’s okay to move them . They are currently in a rabbit hutch inside .
Could someone give me some advise ? TIA
