My friend has a turkey that is about a month old and its legs are splayed or kind of bull-legged. I have ducks and suggested niacin, but then googled it when I got home and couldn't find anything for turkeys. She is going to hobble him with vet tape, but any suggestions with vitamins or anything like that for turkeys?

I wish someone had answered this as I need to know exactly the same thing for the same reason.
One of our turkeys has a splayed leg, about 3 weeks old, I have been feeding him the crumb I would give to ducklings as I thought the higher protein than chicken crumb would benefit it.

Does anyone know the answer to this please? To the original poster, did you find out about this, what happened to your turkey?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have any answers for you but will suggest because sometimes help threads go unanswered here that if you are a facebook member look up homesteading groups in your area or poultry groups... I always get my questions answered quickly

Give peas pureed my turkey chicks needed niacin and I also gave some selinium and vitamin e gel to them and they got better. You can buy goat selinium and vitamin e gel at your feed store. I buy frozen pea bags and toss a half a cup in blender with a little water and puree it then give to the turkeys. Hope this helps
