Welcome to BYC as well! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help in any way we can.

Good luck with your backyard flock! What breeds do you keep? How many do you have?

Kitsapian lol, I love it! Hello to you too. We love it here. Our chickens are silly, they follow us everywhere we go. Our roo has started his cokadoodledoo but he has not perfected it yet. They sure are a ton of fun. Glad to have you here and we sure do welcome you, fellow Kitsapian. Ha, I'm gonna start using that if you don't mind.

Sorry for such a late reply, I am just now figuring out how to navigate the site, lol. She brought home some Bard Rocks, Silver laced Wyandotts and Easter eggers. Since we got them, we have lost 2 to predation. They free range outside the coop and our rooster (a Barrd Rocks) does a fantastic job keeping them safe. I think a coyote got one and an eagle got the other one but we are not sure. So far keeping chickens has been a game changer for me. I like the eggs much better than store bought and I have seen eggs as big as my fist come from our chickens. Never knew they could lay super sized eggs. Love my chicken flock, they are so cool.
