Poor Turbo, he is so cute! I hope he keeps getting better! I gotta say that is a HUGE crest on his little head, You said his dad had one like that? what does it look like as an adult? I'm just curious because it's so cute!

Do you have a non breakable mirror you can put in with her, maybe just seeing herself would cause her to calm down some. We do rec. doing this for only ducklings. Poor baby she is imprinted on him he is her whole world since she has hatched, It's traumatic for her to say the least but understandable that it has to be done for now. Is Turbo still eating good when you feed him?I have put Turbo in a five gallon bucket with a towel around the sides. He is able to lay down or stand straight up without banging his head. I thought I would try this. I tried the towel shaped in a donut and he is jumping out of that. Que Sera is lost without Turbo being in the cage. I put a stuffed animal in with her but she wouldn't have anything to do with it. She screams at the top of her lungs until I get her out of the cage. She follows me everywhere and if I sit down she lays on my foot. She is happiest when sitting on someones lap. I've taken her outside to see her brothers and sisters and she ignores them. She hides behind my legs if the momma duck comes near. I would let her in the bucket with Turbo but she would climb all over him. I put her on the top of the bucket so she could see Turbo and she just sit there and starred at him peeping. She would have been happy if I let her jump in. Anybody have any suggestions on keeping Que Sera happy in the cage by herself while Turbo recoops in the bucket?

I'd give her the stuffed animal back too place it right inside the cage next to the mirror. hopefully she'll cuddle with it.Thank you Miss Lydia I put a big mirror and stood it up behind her cage. It's working thank goodness. I feel so sorry for her. I've taken her outside several times today. She follows along behind me she is so cute.
Turbo is still eating a lot. Today he tried brocolli for the first time and he liked it. He also tried yogurt and he spit it out. He drank a lot of water after the bite of yogurt to get the taste out of him mouth. We tried making a little sling out of a pair of socks. I cut two holes for his legs and cut the sock down to where we could slip him in. He fought like crazy getting out of that. I thought we could hold him up once he got the sock on and he could practice walking. That was a bad idea.
Good night all it's been a long day.

Thanks for updating when we don't hear, well you know it makes all Turbos fans worry. Happy to hear he is still eating and drinking and has found his voice that is another move forward for him!! Aww bless I am glad Que Sera is enjoying her mirror. We're all waiting for that day when we see your post that says Turbo is walking. Too bad you can cut a window in the bucket so he can see whats going on?Turbo is doing about the same. He's still eatting and drinking. I put him in the sink today he didn't do very much swimming but he kept dunking his head all the way under the water. His little eyes looked dry so I think this might help them. Turbo has found his voice. The whole time he is eating he makes a little squeakie noise. It sounds like a squeak toy. I think he is a male by the way it sounds. Male or female Turbo is a keeper.
Que Sera is very quiet now. Thank goodness for the mirro. I put Turbos bucket next to her cage so she may hear him when he moves around. He is actually jumping in that bucket. Everybody takes turns holding him so he doesn't spend a lot of time in there.
I do feel like I am taking care of a newborn baby. He is keeping me busy. I've also been trying to work with him to get him to walk. He still does the flip but now when he flips he's on my bed on a towel.
I'll keep everyone updated and thanks for asking about him. Maybe one day I'll say Turbo is walking. That is the miracle I am hoping for.
