It was my first time this year hatching ducks. I had a mixture of different breeds from aylesbury to call and a few in between. The majority that hatched are now living with my dad waiting to go onto his massive allotment. My children decided that not all of the duckies we hatched, were destined for the allotment and so i had to, then decide, whether I was going to take the easy route and purchase a duck house and run, or, design my own. I looked on the internet and weighed up the costs of both. I opted to challenge myself and save some money by designing my own, it still has a bit to go, the roofing felt on the house needs attaching and the door needs to be put on but I am very pleased with what I have accomplished so far and so are my duckies.

I have an aylesbury called pippy and 3 white calls, scooby, scrappy, and Orville. I gave my sister a couple of aylesbury mixed as a birthday prezzy she loves them and my dad has 2 appleyards, an aylesbury mix, a cayuga, and an embden gosling we named ducky

I would have kept the lot if I'm honest, they are all my babies but just don't have the room.
