What to do about Bumble Foot

I think my chicken has bumble foot as she has a lump on her foot and is limping.
She is booked in for the vets on Tuesday, but until then do you guys have any tips or treatments that could help her out, or stop her from being in as much pain?

Can you post a picture of the foot pad as well as the top of the foot? Many people like to avoid doing the surgery to get the pus kernel out of the foot, but it is the simplest, quickest way to go. Soaking the feet in epsom salts, or in TriCide Neo are some other ways to deal with it, but many times surgery is still needed. I have soaked the chickens foot in warm water and antiseptic, as advised. Here are the photos of the top and bottom of the foot:






The last one is of Java (the chicken in question) enjoying her foot bath!

Sorry the photos aren't much good, Java didn't appreciate me messing with her poorly foot.
 
Well, that is a pretty good case of bumblefoot, with the infection causing the swelling between the toes on top of the foot. She definitely needs to have it treated with surgery. Your vet can do that if they are familiar with chickens, or you can do it yourself. Tractor Supply and Rural King sell the disposable scalpels that are food to use. Others use an exacto knife or a biopsy punch, but the videos by the Chicken Chick in the first two links are very good.

Could you take pictures at the vets when the surgery is done. She has one big infection there. Thanks.
