I moved my ducks up into a nice area in the woods. It's mosquito city. While they've been pretty good about nomming them their are more than they can eat.

Anyone know of safe, effective mosquito control for ducks?

The woods do tend to have bunches of mosquitoes. More than half our place is woods.

I don't expect any of these answers to sound wonderful, but I will just list some ideas. One challenge is that many of the plants that discourage mosquitoes need more sun than they will get in the woods.

By the way, mosquitoes are a particular concern for ducklings - they don't have the feathers that prevent them from getting bitten, and mosquitoes can carry microbes that can cause fatal illness in ducklings.

Thanks Amiga,
They are going 12 weeks old.

Screening in the area would be cost prohibitive...perhaps I could open up some of the trees for light.
