i got a couple chics for my broody hen to raise..one being a golden laced wyandotte. it is not a breed i am familiar with but not much else was available. i know they were sexed at the hatchery but you know how that can go! i have this horrid feeling it might be a roos but like i said i have NO exp. with this breed. i heard the comb gets reddish early ....she is getting bars on her chest area and lacing everywhere else...her legs are so big! not great pics but if anyone has an opinion!

I don't know if all wyandottes are similar but I knew my silver laced Wyandotte was a roo before he was a month old. Yours look like pullets to me.

My Roo and pullet wyandottes now at 8 weeks old.

ok then...since i really can't have roos i am always afraid...its hard to part with any bird IMO. so thanks all for input....i'll go with that! i have a little banty mutt that is 7 weeks...just grabbed a banty egg from a friend and put under the hen with basque eggs and got this adorable SOMETHING! 5 toes and half black silkie type comb...greatly feathered feet and some kind of top knot type something on top...i am pretty sure it is part silkie and maybe cochin...has slightly red wattles, VERY slightly...no red in comb area..almost no comb at all in fact...sometimes i think boy, hoping girl as i am partial to banties! oh well really i am just partial to chickens! thanks again!
