Hello from Louisiana!!

I have to admit I copied the template....sooooo I'll just answer the questions.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm new to having my own chickens. I got them about a month ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 4, I am unpatiently waiting for the arrival of 6 more baby chicks the first part of June.

(3) What breeds do you have?
The chickens I have right now are Cornish Rock. As for the ones I'm waiting on there will be 1 each Black Australorpe, Silver laced Wyandotte, Rhode Island Red, Speckled Sussex and a Dominique all hens. I'm also getting a Welsummer rooster.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I ran across this site while googling chicken hatcheries.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I LOVE fishing, attempting to garden -lol-, baking bread & making tortillas...I could go on....

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We recently moved to Louisiana, I have 2 human kids & 2 furbabies Country & Jeep.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. There's nothing wrong with following the template. I wish more new members would follow the template, then at least we would learn something about them. You have some nice breeds. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs.
