Last week I adopted 17 starving chickens from that neighbor I spoke of before.
He finally admitted he didn't have the time to care for them or feed them
and turned them over.
I'm still loosing some, which, because they are all literally bones, I expect that
" kind of" it's just that they should be gaining "some" weight by now. Right?

Yes, I have kept them quarantined from my flock.

Thing is, I'm getting worried. So today I opened the newest 1 I found dead
the intestines aren't bad just real thin. But, see picts. I have fed them fresh
clean grass but I \can't imagine grass causing that deep green staining of
what I believe is her stomach. If it can, than what is causing them to fail
to start thriving.

As you can see by the bones, that's all she has is bones & literally, nearly no blood
If this is to be expected of chickens that have been fed once or twice a week
then, okay, I just need to know what I CAN give to them to bring them back &
put something on them.

Give them buttermilk and scrambled egg mixed in layer feed for one week. Dont give them too much when first starting out because they might gorge themselves which could possibly cause impacted crop or gizzard. Gradually increase feeding the mixture over several days, then they should be eating normally by the 6th or 7th day. Then stop adding buttermilk and egg into the layer feed, just layer feed thereafter. Provide freshwater for them, do not add anything else into the water.
