Breed & Gender would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there. This is our first chick and we are so excited. My daughter's kindergarten class hatched his chick so I have no idea what breed it is. Any thoughts? Also I'd really love your thoughts on gender. Any info will be so much appreciated!!! Thank you in advance.

He's probably not a specific breed, he's most likely a barnyard mix

I forgot to mention she/he is 4 weeks old. I was thinking the same thing about her being a barnyard mix. Thanks.
