I'm new to all this. I have Easter Eggs. I have 7 hens 2 rosters. I'm wanting more hens. I have 17 eggs in my Little Giant but I can't get the humidity over 46%. HELP.

I have never incubated eggs but, I know when humidity is too low, they suggest (among other things) to put a wet sponge in the bator.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! To raise humidity you need to create more surface area of water so adding sponges is a great idea as drumstick said. You could also add wet cloth to the bottom of the incubator for more surface area. Are you in lockdown? (day 18) Is that why you need to raise it?

You might also like to drop by the incubating section of the forum, here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-amp-hatching-eggs

Good luck and enjoy BYC :frow

I thank you all. For your help. My eggs are due the 5th. I have all 6 water chambers filled with water. The humidity is just at 50%.
