Hi all! I have white peking duck that has no quack.
What could be the possible causes for this?
Her sister is loud as ever but she doesn't make any noise!

The most likely "cause" is gender - how old is this duck?

ETA - is this a duck who has lost it's quack or a duck who has never had a quack to lose?

I would suggest you take and post photos of both ducks....that way we can see her as I still suspect a gender issue being at the root of this.

@Amiga What are your home remedies? I have one 9 week old that was my loudest quacker that suddenly sounds like a boy. She seems perfectly healthy otherwise. She was quacking prior and was sexed as a female at Mezters so I know it's not a gender thing.

The brief outline: I added a little apple cider vinegar to her water for a few days, no improvement
Took her to the vet to check for gapeworm or similar - she checked out okay
Decided to add a few drops of colloidal silver to her water at night. Next day, her voice started to come back, so I did it one or two more nights.
Her voice came back quickly and thoroughly.

I am not a vet, and colloidal silver is something I am very cautious about using - and I do use it when other things don't work. As with all home remedies, I ask folks to do some research and make decisions they are comfortable with.

I think if there is a next time I would also try a tiny bit of coconut oil on her food. My first preference is for plant-based materials.

I have 2 Rouen ducks who are about two months old. One quacks constantly and the other never has.
400
I was thinking both are females but is it possible one is a drake? The larger one in front is the silent one.
