I had carefully timed ordering a 3 batches of eggs. One was some Welsummer cross eggs from someone in New Jersey. I ordered and paid for the eggs on 5-23-15. On 5-26-15 this seller cancelled the order, issued a refund and said it was too hot to ship eggs, as it might hit 90 degrees in New Jersey.
So, I scrambled to find some replacement eggs, and ordered some more. These were promptly shipped, and should have been here today, but the trainee postal carrier did not leave them because of rain. Left a note saying they'd be available to pick up at PO tomorrow, which is Sat. The PO is open 1 hour tomorrow, and I will be unable to go. I'm trying to get them to redeliver, so I'm not stuck till Monday.
My other two batches of eggs have been sitting here waiting for 3 days now. How long will they be OK?
What do you think of the seller in NJ? I don't feel it is too hot to ship well packaged eggs. They will be indoors during the day, then shipped at night. Here, the temp is only 70.
