I love this place

I lurked for three weeks because I was planning for chickens this spring and so had no hands-on experience or expertise to contribute... then I found the social threads. smile Then I joined so I can cheer on the smokers who are quitting, the job-hunting, and everybody else who needs it! At least I'm finally building a coop now, so I know *something.* Chicks arriving in late March, "Lord willing and the creek don't rise." big_smile

Good to hear from the recovering lurkers!    Any other suggestions on what we need to do to convert your fellow lurkers into BYC'ers?

Great ideas!  I will request permission from our feed store.  I know of one person in my area who knows about BYC, not counting all of my non-chicken friends who hear all about it!

I'm shuttin' up now!!!

Well, I'm not lurking at the current moment as I finally got the nerve up to join back towards the end of January.  I do have so say I was one of the 'lurkers' for quite some time before that. I guess it mostly was just wanting to see if it was the right fit for me, so I looked at quite a few threads and kind of got the general feel for the place. I feel much at home now and even tho I have been around poultry since I can remember, I still learn something every time I come on here.  Oh, and can't forget the good laughs to be had from some of the characters here. smile
