A better photo will be needed - what it looks like in this photo is a solid colored (dark) chick with feathered legs? Is the chick damp in the photo or is the messy appearance the normal structure of it's down/feathering? Does the chick have any light patches or other markings? How many toes does the chick have? What does the area where the comb will come into look like right now?
I would suggest placing the chick in an area with good natural lighting and taking a series of photos with no barrier between camera and chick. Taking many photos allows for the fact that the chick will be moving about and then you can choose the best pictures to post.
The black one (Pippa) has five toes is messy fuzzy and fur on its feet.It is very small compared to most of the other chicks I was told it was a polish but not sure if thats correct?
The light yellow (marshmellow) one also has five toes and feathered feet her wing tips have grown out since this picture and they are stiff and white and her skin is pink.
The chipmunk chicks (Sparrow & Carmen) have greenish legs and 4 toes they are about the same size as our RIR and RIW chicks so full size chickens I think
The small golden ones(Omlet and Sunny) are bantam size with five toes feathered feet and black skin and beaks but actual feathers coming in not silkie fluff?
