prolasped vent

Hello my 4 year old bluebell chicken has not laid and egg for about 2 weeks she seems happy enough tail up eating and drinking. I noticed today a prolasped vent it was not there 3 days ago . I have popped it back in and will get prep H and some Witch Hazel. Is there any more advise anyone can give ...Thankyou
 
Hi Julie I have a chicken with a prolapsed vent and some one told me to put her in a coupe which is quite dark and leave her in there sixteen hours then let her out it stops her laying and gives her a rest to make it better, I lock mine in at 7 oclock and then I let her out about twelve in the afternoon and then she goes in when its dark and it has worked I will do this for a while . hope this helps sue
