Where are you brooding them? What is the temp at the far end of the brooder? How many chicks? Do you NEED the 2 lamps? IMO, when it comes to heat for chicks, we tend to over do it. Nice looking brooder. What are you using for wire? The only thing I might do differently would be to put some sort of solid panel around the bottom few inches on the heat lamp side to help keep the heat in.
