Sorry for the digging up of old threads. I hope the coop is working out, if you were to put about 1' of 1/2' HC on the bottom sticking out as a skirt and use landscape pins it will help to prevent things from digging under. it does make a tractor harder to move but its well worth it in the long run. You could also take a 2' width HC and go around the bottom of the coop overlapping the CW and that would give your chicken more protection not only from your own dog, but other ground animals... that still wouldn't make it fort knox, but your chickens would stand a lot better chance at night. good luck to you!
I read most of it yes... and I'm sorry but most ground predators know how to lift a light weight structure with their nose... a skirt protects that, also they do have a digging predator because they themselves even stated they were unsure of their own dog and I would imagine that they have other people on the island with other dogs and maybe... just maybe a cat or two you think???? Human brought predators are still predators. I love the coop and was not trying to be judgmental just offering (late) suggestions as I'm one who prefers to sleep well at night knowing they are protected from all predators, natural or non.Did you even read the thread? They are on an island where chickens roam wild and they don't have digging predators.

Either way, buck up buttercup... its Friday!
Sorry for what?
Yes, I know about skirts. I have one on my run as well. Not everyone's predator "proofing" needs are the same. My run is not bear proof.
Friday is the same as any other day in my world. Buttercup.
