Thank you Ballerina Bird, I couldn't believe how much easier life became when I changed to the good straw with a deep litter system! The girls get SO excited when they see me coming with a new bale! It's like Christmas to them 
if I know their outdoor time is going to be limited, as in me going out of town for a few days, I will put a couple bales in there and don't have to worry about them picking at each other from boredom. It works very well for me, you just have to keep it dry!
