I'm wondering if you have hot spots in the bator.  meaning certain spots have the right temp and other spots have a lower temp reading.  sounds weird but could be a thought.

So I lost my patience and I started open ending the pip hole more. The membrane is almost completly dry, their are a few blood vessel still not absorbed! So I moisted the membrane and I put the egg back into the incubator! I am hope if at the very least I gave the blood vessels a kick in the butt to finish adsorbing already! Shesh!! Thi hatchibg cute duckling is hard work!!!

I guess now that I started helping, I will have to finish the job? How long should I wait, before I revisit my little friend?

your patience is very low, LOL Ok you will have to check on her every two hours.  OH boy, what did I tell you, she was doing good at getting ready and you messed it up, NOW she'll have to find another outfit because you already saw her in this one.  Shame on you. LOL...

send me a pic, let me see how much you opened her up.  What ever am I going to do with you??

Lol, my patience may be low, but the duckling is very weak and I am sure it would have never hatched if left alone. I freed it from the shell, all the blood vessels have been absorbed, even the yolk sac, it is just very weak. It could barely kick its butt from the shell. I will leave him or her in the incubator for a few hours to dry off.

What is the average hatch rate for call duck eggs? I have 19 fertile eggs in an incubator and how many of these should I expect to hatch? I am on day 4 and they all are starting to grow veins? How can I increase my chances of getting the maximum hatch
