Need advice please

I have two female ducks now but I do have a rooster..soooo I don't know how that would work out. It would be an easy fix since I have no suitable enclosure for my ducks at this time..I wonder what the odds are that they would fight to the point they would hurt each other?? Any idea??

Report the stray dog pack and kill them if you see them again, next time it might be someone's kid instead of your duck

I totally agree..my boyfriend said if we see the dogs again their dead. Gun is by the door but we don't know where they came from. Never seen them before that day! But that duck was my buddy and something is gonna pay!!

I know some people who have a kind of, don't know what you'd call it....but it's a house that is out in the middle of the pond. The ducks can go into this...like it's kind of a raft that you can pull in to the bank if you want to. Looks great and there's a little deck all around it that the ducks/geese can hop up on before they go inside. It's really cute!

Very sorry for your loss. I have both chickens and ducks, and they can co-exist without issues. My mallards live in the same coop as the chickens, the chickens roost up above, and the ducks sleep on the hay below. I have a separate coop that opens to the same shared run for my pekins. Each bird knows which coop is their own, and I never have to sort them out manually. Ducks like routine, so once they get used to being inside for the night, they will be fine. Mine have learned that when I come out in the evening and tell them its time to go home, all the Pekins line up and make their way into the coop. The mallards take a little more instruction, as they are a bit wilder and not as domesticated.

Slugs in the coop at night there's hundreds of them. Can't put slug pellets down obviously last night I tried beer in a tray but no success any ideas please

Slugs?! You have a moisture problem.... toss salt on the floor around the edges and where they are coming from. It will kill them and the chickens shouldn't take notice. Then figure out WHY you have a moisture problem and fix it before fall and winter brings you bigger problems.

Good luck.

Ducks are doing fine being locked up at night. Got rid of my chickens and they now have their pen and coop. I still feel guilty for locking them up but I think they are adjusting. Although they may be furious this weekend cause I'm going camping for a week and they have to stay locked up. I have no choice to keep them protected. However I did put a baby pool in there so they are able to swim. Also they are getting easier to get in the coop now. All I do is tell them time for bed and slowly walk behind them and they go right in.
