Hello everyone. I've had my button quails for about a year now, I hatched them myself. For some reason, the female has stared laying eggs with extremely thin and fragile shells. They are light green with no spots, and smaller than what she used to lay. I tried adding calcium into her diet through grit, but it hasn't helped. What could be the problem and how can I fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Is she eating the grit? Try this-take a chicken egg-hard boil it-mash it up shell and all and fed it to her. Be sure that the shell is broken up into very small pieces. Good luck.

I don't know much about quail, but I always have oyster shell or ground eggshells for my chickens. Are you doing that for your quail?

This is how the eggs look. As u can see, it cracked just when I picked it up

You do know grit isn't calcium right? Grit is little rocks that help them digest of the are eating grain. They don't need this with crumbles.

what is the age of this hen? If she is more than 2 years old she could be stopping laying depending on how often she laid before. Do try adding the calcium/oyster shell and see if that helps. Good luck.
