Shed into Coop - Need Ideas & Suggestions

I finally added my nest boxes to the coop, I converted and old wooden bed frame into 6 jumbo sized boxes. My oldest pullet has started to sing her egg song and would rather scratch around the coop than free range with the flock. If the chickens really don't like them, I can add dividers to make 12 smaller ones.

So my one hen that is laying wanted nothing to do with the boxes configured like that. She was wedging herself into a space about 4 inches wide to lay an egg this morning, and as funny as it was, I'd really rather she uses the boxes. I added dividers to each space and lowered it so the chickens can't run around under it anymore (I was sure I would start finding eggs under there if I left it like that).
I think they approve of it now, as soon as I put it back in she crawled into one space and started making her nest in it. Guess I'll find out for sure tomorrow.
I also need to make it so they can't get on top, about 4 of my chickens decided they want to roost on top of it instead of the bars with the other chickens.
Cant seem to upload pics from my phone at the moment, I'll try to post one tomorrow.

They might need a perch 6-8" in front of upper nests to land on before entering nests.
Put sharply angled board(s) on top of nests to keep them from roosting there, it's higher than roosts and they often prefer that.

Thanks guys, I've had the fake eggs in (some of) them since before she was laying, so we'll see what happens today. I've got a board to put on top too, just haven't done it yet. Great idea about the perch in front of the upper boxes, I will add that to the list of improvements to be made!
