Tonite they are going in to the coop. Might be a dumb question but should I also move some of the straw from the brooder to the coop as well? I'm going to be using the Deep Litter Method,

Adding the old litter in shouldn't be a problem unless it is wet or moldy. I generally use some of the old litter to balance the bacteria.

Chicks went in the coop tonite. It's not totally finished but good enuf. Used a PVC feeder I made and an old dog watered for now until I come up with something else. Didn't know if they'd use it but I put a swing in the middle but twice when I opened the front door a chick was on it. Read you should lock them up in the coop for a couple of days so they would get used to it so we'll find out!

Been over a week since the chicks were in the coop. Seem to be doing quite fine. Was wondering how I was going to get them back in the coop at night but once it started to get dark away they went. Usually 3 are on the swing, 2 on the floor, and the rest on the roost. Tried to start a compost pile in the run but nothing lasts very long!!! Have to see what happens this weekend as one day it is supposed to be hot and the next day a thunderstorm!
