Ayam cemani chick gender

I have two ayam cemani chicks, and I'm hoping at least one is female! Two weeks old(3weeks tomorrow)

how can you guess? Out of newbie curiosity?

I don't see any cockerel indicators at this point such as an enlargement of the comb and wattles. Granted, they are still very young at 3 weeks which is why BantamLover21 said, "for now," and I agreed. These indicators could still appear over the next few weeks. If you post their pics again in about a month, their gender should be much more obvious by then.

Hopefully I still have them in a months time! I'm currently chick sitting, though was told I was allowed to keep them if I so choose. That is, if my parents come around to the idea of fresh eggs instead of paying 5 bucks for store bought mass produced eggs..

I definitely hope your parents allow you to keep them. Raising chickens is a lot of fun. Better than watching TV. :eek:)
