I recently bought a GIANT bag of steam crimped oats with the intention of using them for a hog. We ended up not needing them.

Before I give them away I thought I would check to see if they were safe to feed to my hens? They wouldn't be the sole food, just an addition.

My kids also have a few market turkeys right now. Would they be safe to feed them? These turkeys are already a really good size so I am not concerned with the oats holding their growth back.

Oats is one of the things scientists cant find any thing wrong with YET. .... This would apply to people as well as animals.. Unlike so may things, that need to be eaten in moderation.. Two other thing that """ WONT KILL YOU """ lol lol lol are potatoes and bananas.
WISHING YOU BEST....

OMG, yes, yes, yes! My girls LOVE them and get them every day. I add crimped oats to their fermented feed and also give them a few as a treat. One gal insists on eating them only out of my husband's hand. LOL!

I read somewhere that oats are given to birds that are shown as they make their feathers shiny. No idea if that's true but will say my girls have shiny feathers!
