I have a Greenfire farms Cream Legbar Rooster, two unrelated Cream Legbar hens. I'm hatching a clutch of eggs every other week. I vaccinate for mareks and feed medicated chick starter.
I have 3 one day old pullets (born Aug 15) 15 each
Several roosters from 1 to 3 weeks old.
I also have Legbar over ameraucana 8 each (straight run). The combination of these two breeds produce blue egg layers who produce an egg a bit larger than the pure Legbars. The chicks are not auto sexing like the pure legbars, they are straight run. I can take roosters back. These baby chicks already have the puffy cheeks. Their father has a full crest so there is a high chance they will be crested also.
I like to keep chicks till they are 1 week old before selling them. I can also keep chicks till they are 6 weeks old (coop ready) for 5 dollars extra each.
I live in Union City just off 880. Local pickup only.
More information on Cream Legbars.
Cream legbar Roos carry the blue egg gene. If you breed to a dark egg layer like a marans or wesummers the hens will be olive eggers. If breed to a brown laying hen the hens will lay green eggs (like easter eggers)
These hens are good layers. I get 5-6 eggs a week from each hen
