Cliffton turned and stomped off to the stables. He was in no mood to be grateful. No one even seemed to care about his horse or his candlestick.
Gavin continued to be unconsciously miserable.
Cliffton stared wide-eyed at his horse "When did you come back?" He demanded "And why did you run off? I thought you'd got stolen or eaten or worse!" He hugged the horses large neck, then backed up and glared at him "That was very mean of you"
Cedric laughed delightedly as the castle disappeared from sight. He had a few very valuable things, and capture seemed far from possible at this point. Not to mention his revenge on Gavin. Maybe he'd be sorry now.
