Lethargic, puffed up, white poop! Is this chicken going to make it?

I'm so sorry to hear about that. Just remember you gave her a wonderful life.

I wish that the hybrid layers didn't have to suffer from their awesome laying ability (I've got a few of them myself).
The rest of the flock likely notice the change. I know other birds are sad when they loose friends (like finches, doves and parrots), so perhaps chickens are too. I'm glad she isn't suffering, though.
 
Thanks @GitaBooks . I'm still adjusting to the flock being 7 instead of 8. But I too am glad that Goldie is no longer in pain. The rest of the girls seem to be doing fine and going on about their business. There was a lot of kerfuffling over who got to claim her spot on the roost, but otherwise they are acting normal
