I have 15 3 week old chick's and I just got 21 3-5 day old chick's. When and how do I put them together?

You can put them together when they are all about the same size.

If at all possible, put them beside each other or in site of each other before you do join them.

It is easier to introduce them at night when they go up to the roost. Or, if they are free ranging during the day, you can introduce them when you let them out.

If you would like, you can go look at the pictures I just posted in "meyer hatcheries" chick pictures thread. I have been keeping chicks that are all a week older than the next hatch together for 3 weeks. Keep in mind, my brooder is 8 feet long and has a heat lamp on each end. The water and a perch separate the two ends. I have not had a crushed or dead chick yet. I even have a 3 week old BB white turkey poult in with them too... She is getting a bit too big and will soon have to have her own space. But with enough space and attention, it can be done.

No pecking or aggression at all. I chose pullets, so allowing for the few straight run banties I got, there is a distinct lack of testosterone there

I also spend about 2 hours per day watching how things are going in the coop(it's moms place away from yelling children).

This is in reply to the OP. I would brood the new chicks right next to the three-week olds. If you can allow them all to see each other and interact through fencing, the two groups will soon accept each other as being part of the same unit, being so close together in age.

You could try putting them together as soon as the younger ones reach three weeks old. I would anticipate little or no conflict as long as there is plenty of space and perches, stumps, and things to scurry behind if there are any skirmishes.

Haha! The coop is my escape from my four kids as well.
