I have 14 hens and 2 roosters 7 wks old they were all sapose to be hens I was not planing on breeding just eggs for food but I love all of them and have no reason to rehome just because they are roosters everyone seems to get along well and there is plenty of space is it ok to keep them together?

Yes it is fine to keep them together. Roosters raised together tend to tolerate each other fairly well. They will find out pretty quickly which one is "boss" once they hit maturity. However, two roosters for 14 hens is pushing it. One roo for every 10 or so hens is optimum. If your hens are getting over-bred or either one of them shows any aggression towards you, I would suggest getting rid of one or both of them especially if it's your first time with roos. Some roos can be unpredictable and downright nasty. These are the roos that belong in the dumpling pot. Just be aware of what may come along with the roos if you decide to keep them.

Hi, I am a chicken breeder and i want to be able to have my birds together in one flock because of ease.My questions is , is it possible to get certain roosters to only breed certain hens, as in only getting the same rooster to breed with only the hens of his breed l want to have several breeds of chickens but i only want the chicks to be purebred for breeding purposes. I want to have multiple roosters when hens but i only want purebred chicks. Would this be possible?

Seperate just so they are always apart or seperate so that they establish their females and then mix them??

Best way to have purebred chicks is to separate by breed. A roo's job is to mate with hens. He pays no mind to the breed. His focus is performing his "service."

You do not need to seperate these roosters.
Chicks will fight for their place at just by play fighting (Of course to them it is not.)They will not figure out who is boss once mature, they do once young,at least that is what I have been told, and have saw.

Roosters who grow up together tend to get along, maybe a few squabbles here and there, blood drawn, but that's just what roosters do.

Not all roosters will keep their place, and some may just get completely tired of one another, and may try to kill eachother. No matter how many years,or time spent together, you never can really judge what they will do.
