Any idea what could cause this? She seemed okay earlier today,

If it isn't just a full crop (it looks too low for that) then it could possibly be an injury or something else. Is is soft or hard to the touch? Is it warm to the touch? Is there an injury near it or signs of a spider bite or bee sting?

I hope she gets better soon.

Actually, the second picture seems to show it has something to do with the crop. Is the crop impacted? Try massaging it to help it get moving. As birds get older, they tend to fill up really full, especially in the evenings, which can make them look like they've got a tumor on them. if it is empty in the morning (and they don't have food over night) then it means nothing is wrong.

Don't worry too much. Young chicks fed primarily chick feed very rarely get impacted crops. It's most likely just a full crop. It's normal in the evening for chickens of all ages to eat a lot before night. They don't eat at night, so they fill their crop with food to digest while they are sleeping. If it's empty in the morning, she is completely fine.

I'm worried because they were out in the yard eating bugs. She's acting funny.
