So we have a flock of 10 and 3 have decided they want to be house birds. While I don't mind them following me around the yard it is getting increasingly frustrating when we find them in the house and garage pooping all over the place. With no AC and a dog that loves to come and go is there any solution short of putting up fences that will deter the birds from coming inside?

Thanks in advance!
Matt

My chickens loved to go to the porch, which could be irritating when they pooped. We had to put up a fence because they also went in front of cars on the road.
If you don't want a fence, you could prevent them entering the house by making a screen door with a dog door in it. I'm not sure how to prevent them entering the garage, but the garage is easier to clean then the house floor!

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Either a screen door or a fence, unless you have time to just sit and wait for them to try to come in so you can spray them with a hose every time they come near the house. How do you not have a screen door now? Are there no bugs where you live? The mosquitoes are so thick here, you need a transfusion after every trip outside!
