  • Thanks Glen! I would so very much appriciate it! So nice to talk with you. My best wishes on the honey bees and full time farming! Have you considered CBD honey sticks for people who use CBD for pain and anxiety? I swear by it for my chronic intractable pain.... it is what got me off of a good 18 years on Methodone. Just a thought.
Howdy! This is Jenn in WA, AKA Choctawgal on the old EO forum.
You sent my first EO hatching eggs in 2012 when I lost a batch of chicks. You got me hooked!

Last year, through bad luck and health issues, I'm down to my last EO hen. I see the EO forum & ass'n pages are inactive, so am writing to ask if you know who might have hatching eggs in spring.

    My very best!!

Hey Jenn! Happy New Year and good to hear from you!
I still have one of my original hens from my start up... they are truly great birds! This year I'm starting a full time farming operation - produce, pigs, honeybees, meat chickens, and egglayers. The Basque Hens will play a big role in the egg operation. I'm not actively selling hatching eggs or young birds at this time,

Are you still raising and caponizing chickens? I now live in Culpeper County between Culpeper and Sperryville. I hope all is well with you and your family. :)

Haven't made any capons for the past three years, but still have an old australorp boy I keep around as a yard ornament.
Still try to hatch at least 100 basques every year, they're still my favorite.
Been hard into honey bees for the past three years, running 30 hives now and getting set to go full time into farming... bees, chickens, Berkshire hogs and produce. Doesn't leave time for noodling on the forums, lol!

I sent this to you back in Oct... but I must have done something wrong. Maybe this will get thru to you.

Hope all is well with you and yours-
    Glen
