I am happily married to my US Navy DH. We have a 4yr old son, 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 Buff Orpington chicks. We are newbies at raising chickens for eggs. Although, I have some prior experience raising a chick, I rescued, that was hatched in a classroom bator & a victim of cannibalism. He/She was a black Turken chick, I think, which I named Gonzo.
