Hey love, I am back in Kansas, but in the KC area now. Cannot have chickens here, but helping my sister get started so that's nice!
Two chicken ladies living together is just ASKING for chicken math! (just picked up 200 hatching eggs and chicks!!!)
Trying to rehab a badly herniated chick, day 3 and it's still alive, thanks to wonderful people who shared their knowledge and experience
Greater Prairie chickens are no longer wild in Texas. Lesser Prairie and Attwaters are still here but are nearly extinct. Small pockets in the panhandle and a refuge on the coast. My avatar is my own bird. I have 2 breeding pairs. The clip is of a wild bird.

That's awesome. We have prairie chicken here too. We've gone out to the Konza prarie to watch them at their dance circle. It was super neat.
71% of the hatching eggs from the new source were clear. 93% from the other source were going strong. Both in the same bator. ARGHHHHH!!!
