Chicken Tractor
Submitted by Kim in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Here are some pictures of my tractor. It is 4' x 6' and has one nest box. It is covered over the nest box and over 1/3rd of the run with metal roofing, which is held on with wing nuts and can easily be undone and lifted up. It has shade cloth over the other 2/3rds (to be replaced with tarp in the winter), which is also "hooked" on, and can be easily lifted up. It has a cross bar to attach a hanging waterer to and the feeder will go in the enclosed area.

It will likely be a bit small for our four chickens (would be perfect for a trio, I would think)...but our chickens are frequently ranging in our yard. We only meant to have two chickens, but you know how that goes...

Anyway, I am trying to figure out how to make it a tad bigger, yet still moveable.
