I'm not very good at this sort of thing, but here goes....

I built this for my "special needs" rooster Lucas, He's a Tolburt Polish, and he got a peck on the head a few months back, causing him to be disabled. He cannot be around the other birds as they pick on him and would surely kill him, if given the opportunity.

The only solution to this problem was to build him a "condo" of his own, so he could safely spend time outside with the others birds. At night he comes into the house and sleeps in a kennel in my bedroom, lol.

I am by no means a carpenter, or did I have a clue what Ii was getting into, I just jumped in the truck and headed for Lowe's. Bought several 2x4's, and several plywood panels....I had a general idea of what I wanted, and the supplies I needed....needless to say I had to make a second trip back to Lowe's as the building process went on.

This project took me 3 painful days to build, but, I was very impressed with the way it turned out, and I was shocked when I stood back and looked at the finished project....shocked that it didn't look like a broke down shanty, LOL!
