This is our humble beginnings of our 8x10 coop. I have scoured through all the posts, pictures, and plans and I have finally decided what I have chosen.

Here we are digging out the dirt

The foundation, we will use simpson holddown straps into concrete to prevent the winds from taking it to Kansas... LOL!

Sunday March 4th, have the flooring complete. Now for the walls!

We had to take off the floor and cut off 3 inches of the floor joists, we are such lay people, I now know why they make the cuts of lumber they do. I knew when we started this process that we would make mistakes and learn lots of new things. I so appreciate our contractor friend! what a life saver!

Taking alot longer to tackle this project. The wind has been a big factor, and the need of a friend who is a roofing contractor. Finally making progress hoping the chickens are in their new home next weekend.

This is taking alot longer than I imagined it would. We are calling it the TMFC (Taj Mahal For Chickens)
This is also costing alot more than we budgeted.

    Almost done 5/5
Going to be adding redwood fence boards to outside as decoration.

Funny how we take care putting our coops together. Everything so new and clean. Mine is spotless and empty waiting for the girls to get big enough to use it. I need to take some before and 1 year after shots. Looks like a nice big coop.

The weather has put us at a stand still this week. High winds yesterday, snow today. Goal is to get the walls up this weekend.
