Wow. I have so many old photos of my birds. 2014 was the first year we decided to get white eggers (Leghorns) and Bantams.

Neptune - Splash Cochin Bantam. He turned out to be a very sweet guy.

Acorn - Dark Brahma Bantam

This was one of Buff Cochin Bantam - Creamsicle, Thing 1 and Thing 2.

One of the Leghorns - Psyc, Winter, X & Y.

Creamsicle, I think. She won me best bantam at my local fair. Then she went broody, and refused to leave the main nesting box (I had more than enough nesting boxes for all my birds, but they only used one of them). The larger hens broke her neck trying to lay their eggs.

Acorn, our resident broody hen. Also our seasonal broody hen. She'll only be broody during winter and spring.

The Leghorn X, aka, Hopple. I took this picture and came back a while later, only to find her still sitting there. When I got closer, she hopped away on one foot. We separated her for a time and she ended up recovering nicely from her injured leg. You couldn't really see her limping after she had healed.

Neptune. He was very adorable, but had a side-spring on his comb.

Psyc the Leghorn. She has an inch long spur on one of her legs.

Acorn again. She hatched out several chicks for us this year. Unfortunately they were all guys. Also, she is always the rooster's (it doesn't matter which one) favorite, which is why she is missing a lot of feathers on her back. It's like they know that she'll hatch their chicks, if we don't take away the eggs.
